The word Tektite originated from the Greek word “tektos,” which translates to molten or melted. Tektites are rounded, pitted forms of silicate glass. Unlike Obsidian, Tektites are non-volcanic in origin. Most experts gather they were most likely created from large hypervelocity meteorite impacts with earthly rocks. The most well-known Tektite is Moldavite, named after the Moldau River in the Czech Republic, where they are found. Tektites have fantastic energy that helps raise our vibration.
