Many names over the millennia have known the Earth Goddess. In Mesopotamia, Ki and Ninhursag, Gais in Greek, Terra in Roman, Prithwi/Bhumi in Indic, Mother Earth, and many others.
Ki is the earth goddess in Sumerian mythology, chief consort of the sky god An. By her consort Anu, Ki gave birth to the Anunnaki. Enill, the god of air, is the most prominent of these deities. According to legends, heaven and earth were once inseparable until Enlil was born; Enlil cleaved heaven and earth in two.
