Water of Jericho Protection Blessing
The Water of Jericho is considered older and more potent than Holy Water It comes from the Jericho Flower also known as the Resurrection Plant, as these plants can survive centuries with out a source of water. Once the plant finds a water source it literally comes back to life.
It is a small green plant, usually sold in a dried, compact ball. When it is soaked in water, it opens up its feathery, fern-like leaves and becomes green again. If it dries out, it goes back to its dry state. Since it can seemingly die and be reborn again, it is also called the "resurrection plant." This ability is also the source of its powerful spiritual and magical properties.
