Mortar and Pestle, Soap Stone has many uses in the realms of Witchcraft and Rituals, for generations the Mortar and Pestle have been used in the kitchen in the Pharmacy and on the Altar. 

Soap Stone is a soft stone that is easy to carve into various shapes yet is nonporous allowing the use as a Mortar and Pestle. Soapstone is found in the Appalachian range from Maine down to Georgia with significant deposits in Vermont and Virginia, however Finland and Brazil are the largest international producers of soapstone. Most Mortar and Pestle, Soap Stone are carved in India.
