Sandalwood can clear negativity. It is burned for protection and healing and has very high spiritual vibrations. When it is mixed with frankincense and burned at the full moon, its vibrations are more increased. It is said to be able to conjure spirits when combined with lavender and used as incense.
In Western cultures, sandalwood is a funeral herb because it is believed to carry souls to the next life.
Sandalwood, when burned or used as an aromatic, can induce deep states of relaxation to travel the spiritual level. Burning sandalwood incense promotes healing work allowing the healer to reach a deeper relaxed state, increasing spiritual energy. Sandalwood relaxes the heart and throat chakras.
It is burned to exorcise demons and evil ghosts, conjure beneficial spirits, and promote spiritual awareness. Many Witches use sandalwood incense for protection, astral projection, healing rituals, and wish-magick.
The lighter-colored soft scented sandalwood is not suggested for use in magick.
